WILL SMITH FACED WITH SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND GROOMING LAWSUIT BY TOUR VIOLINIST

Actor and musician Will Smith has been named in a civil lawsuit filed by professional violinist Brian King Joseph.
The legal complaint, filed in late December 2025 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleges sexual harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination during Smith’s Based on a True Story 2025 global tour.
The lawsuit claims that Smith engaged in a pattern of predatory behavior, with Joseph alleging that the actor was deliberately grooming and priming him for sexual exploitation since their initial meeting in late 2024.
KEY ALLEGATIONS IN THE COMPLAINT
The filing highlights a series of events that Joseph describes as a traumatic escalation of misconduct:
- Grooming Allegations: Joseph claims that Smith began spending an unusual amount of time alone with him, allegedly telling the violinist, You and I have such a special connection that I don’t have with anyone else.
- Hotel Room Intrusion: In March 2025, during a tour stop in Las Vegas, Joseph alleges he returned to his hotel room to find signs of an unauthorized entry. He reportedly discovered a beer bottle, wipes, HIV medication in another person’s name, and a handwritten note that read, Brian, I’ll be back… just us, signed with a heart.
- Retaliation and Termination: Joseph states that after reporting the intrusion to hotel security, local authorities, and tour management, he was shamed by Smith’s team. He was fired five days later under the claim that the tour was moving in a different direction, though he was quickly replaced by another musician.
LEGAL RESPONSE AND IMPACT
Representatives and legal counsel for Will Smith have categorically denied the allegations. In a statement, Smith’s attorney described the claims as false, baseless, and reckless, vowing to use all legal means to address the accusations in court.
Joseph, who gained fame as a finalist on America’s Got Talent, is seeking unspecified damages for emotional distress, reputational harm, and economic loss.
The lawsuit also names Smith’s management company, Treyball Studios Management, as a defendant.
