Set to debut on December 21, 2025, ITRI captures the essence of Morocco through its intricate design inspired by traditional zellij mosaics—centuries-old patterns known for their geometric precision and cultural depth. The name ITRI, meaning “star” in Amazigh, pays homage to the iconic symbol on the Moroccan flag and reflects the brilliance and unity of African football.
The ball’s design features star patterns that symbolize ambition and excellence, petal shapes representing celebration and growth, and circular symmetry depicting unity among the 24 competing nations. The color palette of red and green serves as a direct tribute to Morocco’s national pride. CAF’s Creative Development Manager, Mohamed Ghonemi, described the design as “Created for the rhythm of African football,” highlighting its blend of heritage and performance.
