Toyin Abraham’s latest Nollywood film, Oversabi Aunty, has recorded a major box office milestone, grossing ₦711.5 million in just 18 days after its release.

Produced and directed by the actress, the movie has now become the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time in West Africa. The achievement was announced on Monday by the film’s official distributor, FilmOne Entertainment, via its Instagram page.
According to FilmOne Entertainment, Oversabi Aunty earned ₦711.5 million, making it not only the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood film in the region but also the second highest-grossing movie of the weekend. The distributor credited the success to massive audience turnout across cinemas in West Africa.
In a statement, FilmOne wrote,“West Africa, you showed up and showed out in an Oversabi way. Thank you for the love. In just 18 days, Oversabi Aunty grossed ₦711.5M, making it the 4th highest Nollywood film of all time in West Africa. This win is for all of us.”
The film’s recent achievement adds to its earlier box office success. Within 11 days of its release, Oversabi Aunty* had already crossed the ₦380 million mark, earning ₦382,897,436. At the time, FilmOne described the performance as an “Oversabi box office takeover” and noted that the movie delivered Nollywood’s second-highest opening of 2025.
With this new record, Oversabi Aunty has overtaken Funke Akindele’s Battle on Buka Street released in 2022, and Omo Ghetto: The Saga released in 2020, which previously grossed over ₦660 million and ₦630 million respectively.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Mike Ezuruonye, Efe Irele, Dike Osinachi (Kidbaby), Jemima Osunde, Adebowale Adedayo (Adedamee), Enioluwa Adeoluwa, and Toyin Abraham.
