British boxer and social media personality Ryan Taylor has made a controversial claim about his ex-fiancée, Nigerian DJ and billionaire heiress Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy. Speaking on the Ladders podcast, Taylor alleged that Cuppy “didn’t like people from her country” while they were together.
He revealed that Cuppy discouraged him from hiring Nigerians in his business ventures, saying, “Is it mad if I told you that she didn’t like people from her country? She’d come into my business and didn’t want me to have her fellow country people as staff.” Taylor also recounted instances where Nigerians approached them in public asking for money, saying, “We used to walk in the mall and people would run from their counters and ask for money.”
DJ Cuppy and Ryan Taylor got engaged in November 2022, capturing attention with their high-profile romance and lavish lifestyle. However, the relationship reportedly ended in 2023 after the couple unfollowed each other on social media, fueling breakup rumors.
Despite his surprising revelations, Taylor expressed no bitterness, emphasizing that he had moved on. “Everything happens for a reason,” he said. “The time that I met her, where we both were at the time, it had to happen. No regrets, lesson learnt.”
