Nollywood actress and media personality Nkechi Blessing Sunday has once again found herself at the center of a safety scare after a section of the POP ceiling in her Lekki residence suddenly collapsed. The actress narrowly avoided injury in what has now become a recurring structural failure in her home, drawing widespread attention to the quality of luxury developments across Lagos.
Taking to Instagram to share footage of the aftermath, Nkechi Blessing showed the collapsed ceiling debris scattered across her property. She expressed relief that no one was injured and that her newly purchased car was not damaged, before turning her frustration toward property developers in the high-end Lekki area.
“Come to Lekki they said. Thank God it didn’t fall inside the house and my new car wasn’t parked there. What would I have said? It’s well with una Lekki developers,” she wrote, criticizing what she described as the greed and substandard construction practices common in the region.
Her ordeal has reignited public discourse around the safety and structural integrity of many upscale homes in Lagos, especially in neighborhoods like Lekki where rapid development often outpaces regulatory oversight.
