Chiamaka Nnadozie has made football history, becoming the first African woman to win the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award three consecutive times. The Super Falcons star was crowned once again at the 2025 CAF Awards ceremony held in Rabat, Morocco, solidifying her legacy as Africa’s most dominant goalkeeper.

The 24-year-old Nigerian international triumphed over Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini, continuing her incredible rise on the continent and on the global stage.

Nnadozie’s victory follows an outstanding year for both club and country. For the Super Falcons, she played a crucial role in securing Nigeria’s record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title. Her performances, including four clean sheets, earned her the WAFCON Best Goalkeeper Award.

At club level, Nnadozie helped Paris FC lift the Coupe de France Féminine before completing a high-profile move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League. She made an immediate impression in England with a Player of the Match debut and multiple nominations, including WSL Save of the Month.

Nnadozie’s consistency, resilience, and elite shot-stopping ability have transformed her into one of the most influential figures in modern women’s football. Her historic three-peat marks another milestone in a career that continues to inspire fans across Africa and beyond.
