Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed immense gratitude and appreciation by “splashing” significant cash rewards on the victorious Lagos contingent that participated in the 2025 National Youth Games (NYG) in Asaba, Delta State.
The celebratory reception, held at the Lagos State House in Ikeja on Friday, honored the athletes and coaches who achieved a historic feat: topping the medal table for the first time ever at the National Youth Games.

Team Lagos was unstoppable at the ninth NYG last month, dethroning hosts Delta State by clinching a total of 110 medals. This impressive haul included:
