After a historic African debut with the E1 Lagos Grand Prix, the all-electric powerboat series is now heading to the United States for the first time. The E1 Miami GP, serving as both the US debut and the season finale, will take place from Friday, November 7 to Saturday, November 8, marking a new milestone in sustainable motorsport.
Miami, a global capital for aquatic sports and innovation, will host the finale at the Miami Seaplane Base. The event is expected to attract major attention as it brings together technology, speed, and star power in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
The E1 Series, co-founded by Alejandro Agag and Rodi Basso, has drawn celebrity team owners from sports and entertainment, including:
- Team Brady – owned by Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen
- Team Westbrook – owned by Russell Westbrook
- Team Aoki – owned by Miami-born DJ Steve Aoki
- Team Miami – owned by singer Marc Anthony
With only three points separating defending champions Team Brady from Team Rafa, and 20 points covering the top four teams, the E1 Miami GP promises an intense battle for the championship title.
Lagos Showdown Set the Pace
The E1 Lagos GP in Nigeria, held last month, was a groundbreaking success and a defining moment for African motorsport. Team Brazil secured their first victory of the season, setting an electrifying tone for the finale in Miami.
E1 Series Founder and Chairman Alejandro Agag described the upcoming event as a defining moment for the sport:
“The E1 Miami GP represents a big moment, being our first ever race in the US. Miami captures everything E1 stands for—innovation, excitement, and a deep connection to the water.”
With American pilots like Sara Price, John Peeters, and Rusty Wyatt racing in front of home fans, the energy is set to peak as the E1 Series closes its season in spectacular style.
