Chelsea Football Club is celebrating one of its brightest stars, as Eden Hazard has officially been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, a recognition that cements his status as one of the most gifted and entertaining players in the league’s history.
The Belgian maestro becomes the sixth Chelsea legend to receive this honour, joining club icons Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, John Terry, Petr Cech, and Ashley Cole. This recognition marks another milestone in Hazard’s illustrious legacy and underscores his influence on English football during his eight unforgettable years at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard joined Chelsea in 2012 after choosing the London club over multiple European powerhouses, a decision that would define an era. From his debut, the Belgian dazzled fans with his mesmerizing dribbles, balance, creativity, and ability to decide games single-handedly.
Reflecting on his induction, Hazard shared his gratitude and pride, saying, “When you play football, you don’t play for these kinds of things… But when you get it, you look back at what you did and, wow, you are really proud.”
He won two Premier League titles, in 2014/15 and 2016/17. He was named PFA Players’ Player of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season in the 2014/15 campaign. Across 245 Premier League appearances, he scored 85 goals and provided 54 assists, and was named Chelsea Player of the Year four times, reflecting his consistent brilliance and leadership.
The Showman’s Legacy
Hazard’s final season at Chelsea in 2018/19 was arguably his finest, delivering a career-best tally of goals and assists and ending his chapter in style by inspiring the club to Europa League glory before his move to Real Madrid.
His induction into the Eden Hazard Premier League Hall of Fame immortalizes him as more than just a Chelsea icon, but as one of football’s true artists. His flair, humility, and showmanship defined an era and left a permanent mark on the Premier League’s global legacy.
